Penile Implant

A penile implant, also known as a penile prosthesis, is a surgical device implanted in the penis to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) that does not respond to other treatments. The implant consists of inflatable cylinders or rods that are placed within the erectile chambers of the penis. When activated by squeezing a pump located in the scrotum, the cylinders fill with fluid, creating an erection. After sexual activity, the pump is pressed again to deflate the cylinders, returning the penis to a flaccid state. Penile implants can provide a reliable and natural-looking erection, restoring sexual function and improving the quality of life for men with severe ED.
